Art Director

About the position: We’re small – which means we ask our creative team to take on a wide variety of duties. The Art Director must be independently driven and able to push a project forward on their own, while also able to work productively and harmoniously in a group. They’ve got to think big picture, but be willing to sweat the details. No egos allowed, and no task is too small! Projects might include:

  • Logo/identity design
  • Creation of printed + digital marketing materials
  • Front end web design
  • Production tasks as needed
  • Light copywriting

We’re looking for…

A strategic thinker with:

  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite
  • A portfolio representing a range of design styles and diversity of projects
  • Experience creating brand identities/guidelines and the ability to work within existing ones
  • The ability to articulate design decisions to clients
  • Skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Working knowledge of social media marketing
  • Preferably 5+ years experience

And a team player with:

  • The ability to manage your time and drive projects forward independently
  • The ability to brainstorm and collaborate in groups
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

You get bonus points for:

  • Copywriting experience
  • WordPress & Squarespace experience
  • Experience with email marketing platforms
  • Understanding of/experience with SEO/SEM

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

COVID-19 considerations:
This team member would be able to work remotely as needed, and would be provided membership at our coworking spaces in Rochester and the Finger Lakes

  • Graphic Design: 4 years (Preferred)
