Rochester, New York (October 21, 2020) – 29 Design Studio, a marketing and branding company founded in 2007, is experiencing an upsurge in clients since pivoting to a food and ag-tech focus in early 2020. The boutique agency has also added to its staff.
“Our team has a deep connection to farming, food and hospitality so we were confident that it was the right place to focus our efforts,” said Maureen Ballatori, founder and CEO. “It’s paying off since our interests intersect with the continued needs of these industries in New York State and beyond.”
She said they are particularly excited about the variety of established and startup companies seeking strategic marketing, creative design, and analytics. Among the agency’s newest clients include 76West $500K winner, Combplex; Maine-based Piper Mountain Christmas Tree Farm; New York State apple growers Hudson River Fruit Distributors; the New York State Corn and Soybean Growers Association; and the beloved national grocery chain, Wegmans.
They have also added the Food and Beverage Consortium, a promotional collaborative of the Center of Excellence for Food and Agriculture at Cornell AgriTech and the City of Geneva, New York, to promote food, beverage and agriculture benefits of the region.
In addition to the new growth, 29 Design Studio recently helped with a big win for client Leep Foods, an innovative grower of premium organic mushrooms, when the company became a finalist in this year’s prestigious Grow-NY Competition. The international competition includes $3M in prizes annually.
To assist with new and existing clients, 29 Design Studio has hired Joe Conti as Art Director. A backyard chicken farmer from Buffalo, New York, he has extensive experience in brand design, illustration, web development, photography, and motion graphics for a variety of clients including Druthers Brewing Company. Kathy Palokoff, a Strategic Content Creator with extensive agriculture and restaurant experience, also joins the 29 Design Studio team.
