Creative Agency Among Top Talent in Regional Marketing Awards
Rochester, NY – 29 Design Studio was proud to be amidst the ranks of outstanding marketers and agencies at the 2023 AMA Pinnacle Awards for Marketing Excellence. The creative agency was a finalist in the categories of Branding, Print Design, Packaging and Market Research.
“The Pinnacle Awards is one of my favorite award shows in Rochester,” said Maureen, 29 Design Studio’s founder and CEO. “Our region is brimming with talent, and I always love seeing old friends and making new ones at this show. There’s remarkably impactful work coming out of Greater Rochester, and this is a night to celebrate that. ”

29 Design Studio took home their own glittering glass for 3 of the 4 categories in which they were finalists including Branding, Print Design, and Market Research.

Best in Branding for KAFL Insurance Resources, who approached 29 Design Studio to ensure their visual identity reflected their renewed focus on the human aspect of their brand, nodding to KAFL’s past while driving them into the future.
Working with KAFL’s stakeholders, the 29 Design team determined the brand should sound and feel familiar – like old friends coming together to find solutions to the trials and tribulations of supporting clients, amplifying the efforts of partners and team alike, and confident in the success of all parties.
The updated logo encompasses the “KAFL Community,” representing the symbiotic relationship between KAFL themselves, Brokers & Advisors, and the clients of the brokers/advisors. The rich color palette of warm yellows, oranges, and reds speaks to the warmth and people-oriented way of working that KAFL embraces.

Best in Print for the Fee Brothers “brand book,” sharing the story of the fifth-generation global-reaching manufacturer based in Rochester. The Brand Book is a cohesive document for their Distributors to showcase the Fee Brothers’ extensive portfolio of bitters, syrups, cordials, botanical waters, and more.
Inspired by the Fee Brothers’ archives, where they have drawers of hundred-year-old labels stored by the stack, the design team included imagery and snippets of these labels on the pages themselves. The brand book serves as a physical extension of their brand: something the Fee Brothers team can bring to tradeshows, conferences, and sales presentations.

Best in Market Research for King Brothers Dairy, an award-winning family-owned dairy based in Schuylerville, NY. The market research and Brand Strategy documents incorporated:
- The current brand position, complete with an analytical review of sales, social media, and website data;
- Environment and marketplace climate for dairy products such as types of milk, cream, yogurt, and ice cream;
- Target audiences and existing customers for King Brothers Dairy’s different services and product lines;
- Potential partners and collaborators in the sales process; and a
- Competitive landscape and existing products in the dairy aisle, including pricing analysis, keyword research for search engine optimization, and SWOT.
The findings informed the updated visual identity of the King Brothers Dairy brand, as well as sell sheets and both digital and retail promotional materials.
“Our team loves the creative camaraderie felt at the Pinnacle Awards every year,” said Creative Director Courtney Carroway. “I’m proud of the juicy marketing projects we got to show off on behalf of some of our pretty cool regional and global clients!”
